Meet the 2021 Virtual Hearts Afire Gala Honorees

By Katie Beckmann Mahon, Communications Manager

Teresa Radzinski and Laura and Daniel Grable

On June 3, 2021, the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York, will present the Mother Mary Ann Sammon Award for Compassion and Service to Teresa Radzinski and Laura and Daniel Grable at the 2021 Hearts Afire Virtual Gala.

Teresa Radzinski is a Managing Director, Private Client Advisor, and Institutional Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank. In her job, Teresa guides high-net-worth clients and helps them streamline their financial lives, evaluate their options, navigate decisions, and deploy wealth more efficiently.

Outside of her work, Teresa is an active community member as she serves as Trustee for St. Catherine University, the Lightner Museum, and Cummer Museum, as well as a Board Member on the St. John’s Cultural Counsel. Also, Teresa serves as a member of the Red Jacket Society - City Year and a member of the United Way Tocqueville Society, United Way Northeast Florida.

The Sisters of Saint Dominic are also thrilled to announce that Teresa and her husband, Michael, have generously made a Matching Challenge Grant of $25,000. What that means is when you donate to the Hearts Afire Gala, your gift and the impact of your gift is doubled!

Along with Teresa Radzinski, both Dan and Laura Grable, long-time and faithful friends and benefactors of the congregation, have had a special relationship with the Sisters of Saint Dominic.

Dan, a retired Music Teacher, has often brought his musical talents to Blauvelt and frequently played in the Chapel, whereas Laura was a Blauvelt Dominican for eight years. After her time as a Blauvelt Dominican, Laura went on to teach Middle School Spanish and then became the Lead Teacher in the New Teacher Mentoring Program until retirement in 2010. Laura also taught Confirmation Classes and was a Group Prayer Leader for Renew International in her local parish.

Outside of their work, Dan and Laura have been married since 1974, are the happy parents of four children, and the joyous grandparents of six grandchildren.

To watch Dan and Laura Grable and Teresa Radzinski receive the Mother Mary Ann Sammon Award for Compassion and Service, as well as the entire Gala, RSVP today. All are welcome to attend the Gala from anywhere, and registration is free!

Also, save the date for May 24, 2021, as that is when the Silent Auction will open, and bidding can formally begin on auction items. You can bid on Auction items on the Gala website.
