Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt to host advance screenings of From The Ashes

The Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt will host two advance screenings of From The Ashes on Monday, June 12, 2017, at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM at the Huston Room of St. Dominic Convent.

From The Ashes is a new documentary film directed by Michael Bonfiglio that was a Tribeca Film Festival 2017 Official Selection and explores the reality of coal's role in climate change while offering insight into solutions that could help revive the struggling economies of dying mining towns and still safeguard the environment.

Blauvelt Dominican Sister Joan Agro commented, "The Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt wanted to host this screening because of our commitment to social justice and our corporate stance on climate change. Raising awareness of the complexity of these issues is vital to the future of the earth."
