This week’s “Embracing Faith” article will focus on Embracing Faith through Giving.
“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your power to do it.”
-Proverbs 3:27
On Sunday, April 23rd, the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York, and friends will gather at the scenic View on the Hudson in Piermont for the 2023 Hearts Afire Gala.
For 22 years, the Hearts Afire Gala has been one of the most important fundraisers of the Sisters of Saint Dominic. Supporting the Hearts Afire Gala by attending the event or with a sponsorship, journal ad, or donation makes it possible for the Sisters of Saint Dominic to minister to those most in need and care for the aging sisters in our Congregation.
Each year at the Hearts Afire Gala, the Sisters of Saint Dominic recognize individuals who have demonstrated a spirit of service, compassion, and deep caring for others with the Mother Mary Ann Sammon Award for Compassion and Service.
For the 2023 Hearts Afire Gala, the Sisters of Saint Dominic will honor William H. Connolly & Co. Insurance and Risk Management, Patricia Finan, and Phyllis Yonta.
Along with the Mother Mary Ann Sammon Award presentation, other highlights will include the annual Silent Auction, Wine Pull, and 50/50 Raffle.
