This week’s “Embracing Faith” article will focus on Embracing Faith through Prayer.
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach.” -Romans 12:6-7
May 1st – May 7th marks National Teachers Appreciation Week. This annual observance recognizes the hard work of all teachers and calls on us to show our support for their dedication to all students.
Along with National Teachers Appreciation Week, May 3rd is National Teacher Appreciation Day.
Since the pandemic, teachers worldwide have had to drastically pivot their education methods to best suit their students and adapt to ever-evolving safety and health guidelines.
As we continue to move past the pandemic, we must show our gratitude to all teachers for their impact on our lives and pray that they continue to positively impact future generations to come.
Teacher Appreciation Prayer (1)
God, we know that every good gift
and every perfect gift comes from you.
So, we come to you now, to thank you for the gift of good teachers.
Thank you for teachers who teach what is good.
Thank you for teachers who use their gift of teaching to serve others.
Thank you for teachers who encourage our students with patient instruction.
Thank you for teachers who inspire our students,
build them up, and prepare them for the future.
Thank you, for teachers who teach with all their heart,
as though they were working for you.
Thank you for teachers who teach with integrity, setting an example of goodness.
Thank you for teachers who teach with wisdom and kindness.
Thank you, for teachers
who go out of their way to help weaker students.
Thank you for teachers who exemplify
Christ’s teaching of “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
We ask, God, that you repay our teachers for all they have done,
and that you bless them with a full reward.
God, please bless our teachers;
make your face to shine upon them and be gracious to them;
God, look upon our teachers and shower them with peace.
Amen.
