Starting September 1st, Christians around the world enter the Season of Creation—a month-long period dedicated to renewing our bond with our Creator and the environment. Originating with the Orthodox Church's observance of September 1 as a day of prayer for creation in 1989, and expanded to a full season by the World Council of Churches and embraced by Pope Francis in 2015, this time invites believers to join in prayer and action for our common home. The Season runs from September 1 to October 4, ending with the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
